SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF., Jan. 24, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, at NADA Show 2019, Mojio – the leading technology platform and SaaS provider for connected cars – announced that it has collaborated with Assurant (NYSE: AIZ) – the global provider of risk management solutions – to co-develop Pocket Drive, a comprehensive connected vehicle solution for automotive dealers and their customers. Today’s announcement is the first outcome of the strategic investment and ongoing collaboration between Mojio and Assurant that was announced in September 2018.
Led by Assurant’s Global Automotive business, the co-development of Pocket Drive was founded on an agile, data-driven approach that combines Mojio’s expertise in delivering highly-reviewed connected car services for major Mobile Network Operators like Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile US, with Assurant’s deep experience in the automotive dealership and vehicle protection industries.

The Pocket Drive device plugs into a vehicle’s OBD-II port and communicates a wealth of insights via Mojio’s cloud platform to the Pocket Drive app, which was designed and developed by Mojio. The app offers customers a wide range of features and integrated services that enable a smarter, simpler and safer way to drive.
Research from Assurant found that more than three out of four respondents (77 percent) affirmed that they would find a vehicle service contract more appealing if Pocket Drive was included as part of the offering. The majority (64 percent) of respondents also agreed that the app would improve the image of the dealer who offers it, and 73 percent said Pocket Drive would keep them more connected with their dealer service center.
